Halotherapy

What is Halotherapy?

If you haven’t heard of halotherapy yet, you’re late to the party. Halotherapy actually dates back to the twelfth century! It’s just recently come back as a rising trend in health and wellness. Halotherapy, or salt therapy, is breathing in healthy salts. A halogenerator is used to crush salt into particles that are microscopic, making them easy to inhale. When the salt particles are breathed in, they act as an anti-bacterial agent and
dissolve the bacteria and pollutants that have been stuck in the respiratory tract.

What are the benefits of halotherapy?

Salt therapy has been used to treat upper and lower respiratory conditions such as cold and flu, allergy, asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, sinus infection, emphysema and more.
The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of salt have been shown to effectively treat skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.

Salt therapy can also help with excessive mucus, issues with digestion, depression, and immune system oversensitivity.

What happens during a salt therapy session?

At The Salt Room Wesley Chapel, you will enter our therapy room where every wall surface, including the floor, is covered with natural rock salt to create a sterilized and negative ion environment. We also use the newest top-of-the-line halogenerators to crush pharmaceutical grade salt into small particles for inhalation creating the microclimate.
Your session will last 45 minutes. During this time, all you have to do is relax in our zero-gravity recliner. You can read a book, or even take a nap.
Halotherapy is rather simple, and doesn’t require any special clothing. Just wear whatever you are comfortable in!

Salt therapy is a wonderful, 100% drug-free, natural way to self-remedy. Not only is it relaxing, but you will leave feeling so much better. Book an appointment with us today and see for yourself how halotherapy can benefit your life!
